Notes:
Since August of 2004 there are two problems that have sprung up with users attempting to load Knightlite Software on to their computers. The most common error is shown below.

Something that you loaded on to your computer erased the file AUTOEXEC.NT file from your C:|Windows\system32 folder. We have no idea what causes this, but believe it could be a virus, worm, or spyware that you may have downloaded from the Internet. Knightlite has created the above fix file that will immediately fix this problem. You can also fix the problem yourself by following the instructions below, but running the file may be far easier.
1)Double click on My Computer.
2) Double click on your C drive.
3) Double click on the Windows folder.
4) Double click on the Repair folder.
5) Copy (don't move) the file autoexec.nt by right clicking on the file. A pop-up menu appears. Select Copy.
6) Back out of that folder back to the Windows folder and find the System32 folder.
7) Double click on the System32 folder to open it.
8) Right click on and empty part of the window. A pop-up menu appears again. Select Paste.
9) The autoexec.nt file will appear in the folder.
10) Right click on the file itself. A pop-up menu will appear. Select Properties.
11) Check the Read Only box under attributes, and click apply.
The software will then work correctly.
This is a similar problem to the autoexec.nt error discussed above. The above download will fix this error as well. You can also fix it yourself by following these directions.
1)Double click on My Computer.
2) Double click on your C drive.
3) Double click on the Windows folder.
4) Double click on the System folder.
5) Copy (don't move) the file shell.dll by right clicking on the file. A pop-up menu appears. Select Copy.
6) Back out of that folder back to the Windows folder and find the System32 folder.
7) Double click on the System32 folder to open it.
8) Right click on and empty part of the window. A pop-up menu appears again. Select Paste.
9) The shell.dll file will appear in the folder.
10) Right click on the file itself. A pop-up menu will appear. Select Properties.
11) Check the Read Only box under attributes, and click apply.
The software will then work correctly.
